the way we spend money

this is after a nice dinner we (2 more labmates)
had in hotel eden(continental) . For having a soup, a starter
and one main course item I paid 165 Rs.
had nice time ofcourse.. but looking back at it,
I feel it was slicha too much.
the enthusiasm shown by me for this dinner
is not half its amount when I was asked to volunteer
for Tsunami relief or in giving a poor old woman
a rupee or two on the road.
I'm happy that this thought did occur to me..
I'll do better next time I get an opportunity.

One Fine Evening

this blog takes inspiration from a close friend of mine at
math grad. We used to go over to our college premises
during study holidays (before exams) . It was a Sunday
morning and the next day it was Group theory finals.
Me and another guy were busy cramming as much as
we can into our muddled brains totally oblivious of
the beautiful sorroundings... and this chap walks up
to us with a poem in his hands .. "On a lazy Sunday
morning .. " .. though we appreciated it for fun I got the
full impact of the incident just now.. As u go through life
nothing matters but what u feel... It was not a matter to him
on that lazy Sunday morning, at that hour that the next day
was on of the tough exams (he was a brainy. of course) .. ,
all that mattered to him then was that It was a lazy sunday
morning.. All that mattered to me for the past 10 minutes
is that I must dedicate a blog for this chap even though there
are many other important works at hand...
Living in the present is most important.. hmm...

Pre Graduation Musings

It seems strange that all my classmates have finished their thesis
seminars and are all set for the industry while I'm stuck here.
It was like yesterday when I said to my mom before joining that
I'll finish the whole thing in 2 years. Father was apprehensive abt
my joining research.
Anyway today my guide approved of my giving seminar and
I'm a happy soul.
